Weddings Ceremonies

Nowadays, Koreans are similar to western-style, they do their weddings in hotels or weddings hall. A white wedding gown for the bride and black suit with white gloves for groom .traditional Korean weddings: they just have a small ceremony after in traditional clothes For over 2,000 years, the traditional Korean costume, the Hanbok, has been worn by men, women and children. Originally, the Hanbok was made out of white cotton, silk or a scratchy coarse fabric called hemp. Today Koreans wear Hanboks in many colors and types of fabrics.

The Bride

The women’s attire includes a chogori (short jacket with long sleeves) with 2 long ribbons which are tied to form the otkorum. A chima, a full length, high waisted wrap around skirt is worn. Boat shaped shoesmake of silk, are worn with white cotton socks.

The groom

The Groom’s Attire

A jacket (chigori) and trousers (paji) and an overcoat (turumagi) are worn. The jacket has loose sleeves, the trousers are roomy and tied with straps at the ankles. A vest may be worn over the shirt. A black hat (moja) could be worn.

guests bring money

there is a table placed at the entrance that each guest recorded for either goom's or bride's side by put new 30,000 KRW if you acquaintance/co-worker and 50,000 KRW friend/close co-worker and 100,000 KRW family and super close friends in the envelope, you must write your name on it.

welcome the guests

the bride and the groom to go to each table in the hall and to welcome the all the guests and thank them for coming.

wearing the traditional clothes

after the wedding, Newlyweds change their clothes to traditional dresses and start to do the traditional Korean wedding .
