Shopping in Seoul

Korea is one of the most dynamic and colorful countries in the world. This dichotomy of old and new is reflected in Korea’s diversity of shopping and tourist destinations; international tourists will be delighted by both the glittering department stores and shopping malls, and the charming traditional markets. There’s no better place to go than Korea for an all-inclusive getaway of shopping, touring, and entertainment. Seoul is rapidly becoming the "fast fashion" capital of the world.

Dongdaemun (Great East Gate), Seoul

This is the center for shopping in Korea. When brand names from around the world make their first entrance into Korea, Myeongdong is the first place they think of. So here you’ll find big brands such as H&M, Zara, Nike, UNIQLO, etc with retail stores (sometimes several). Also, all the most popular Korean brands are here as well.

Dongdaemun (Great East Gate), Seoul

Dongdaemun has every fashion item imaginable: fabric, clothes, accessories, and wedding goods. The newest fashion trends, along with the newest fabrics, often make their debut in the market. It is home to the largest clothing suppliers in Korea, and aspiring designers also come to here to hone and test their skills. Cheap and diverse clothes attract not just fashion leaders but also the average consumer. It has become a place frequented by major Korean and international buyers as well.

Itaewon

Seoul designated Itaewon as its first ‘Special Tourism District,’ to highlight it as a destination for internationals to enjoy a diversity of culture, shopping, and entertainment experiences.
